Our Philosophy

Bringing people together through tea

“Growing up, afternoon tea was a big thing in our family. My father would make milk tea from Lipton tea bags, creamy and smooth to perfection, and my mother would bake mysterious walnut cookies or lemon bars from scratch because we couldn’t get them in the small city we lived in in Taiwan. It would be the happiest time of the day, where the family always sat together come rain or shine, even if it was only an hour away from dinner.” ~ NANA CHAN, founder of teakha and Plantation by teakha

This was what prompted Nana to open teakha in Jan 2012, a desire to recreate a space where tea and cakes were not only delicious, but served a purpose - a purpose to bring people together.
